Dennis Cole is entering his fourth season with the Sabre as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Dennis had previously interned with the team while an undergraduate at Canisius College. Dennis is certified as a Health and Fitness Instructor by the American College of Sports Medicine, as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
As Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach to Doug McKenney, Coles’s main responsibilities during the season entail working with the Sabres AHL affiliate, the Rochester Americans. With the Amerks, Dennis organizes the team’s off-ice conditioning, weight training, and nutrition analysis. In the offseason, he assists Sabres’ Strength and Conditioning Coach Doug McKenney with the organizations summer conditioning camp for rookies and prospects held in Buffalo.
Dennis, a native of Clarence, NY, received his undergraduate and Masters degrees from Canisius College in Non-Teaching Physical Education with Concentration in Physical Science. He and his wife, Carrie, reside in Amherst, NY.
